Should I ponder on alexa rankings or ignore?

My site is about 2 months old now, and with every passing day i see my site loosing alexa rank.

My India traffic rank was below 70,000 and now its gone up. Is there something that I am doing wrong?
Is my site getting penalized for something?
Any help would be appreciated?

Absolutely never mind the alexa rank.they never reflects the true traffic of a site or even its quality

I would suggest you to ignore the Alexa Rank for a few months and focus more on the Google Search Traffic because thats more important. Once your blog or website has decent enough visitors then they would start sharing your content through twitter, facebook, emails etc and this is the stage where in the alexa rank would start increasing. Currently you are the biggest visitor to your own site and when the visitors start coming from different sources then Alexa can easily track them and boost your rank.
