Serps problem – Rankings for .de or german hosted domains

Hi amit,
I am doing lot of link building to my website (URL Removed).It is holding good serps in every google databse. (4th in google.com, 5th in google.co.uk).But it is not getting top in google.de. Even though it is hosted in germany. Even i have changed target location to germany in webmaster tools. But still it is not getting top in google.de.
Few of my friends are telling me to build links from .de or german hosted domains. But i dont think that was the correct solution. Right now it is ranking in 3rd page in google.de

Google is showing translating option for my site [Diese Seite übersetzen].I mean to say that they are treating my site as an english site but not german site.
My question is How can i explain google that my website is a german site?

Hey, i would recommend you to get backlinks from german related websites and german based domain names because that would make your website move towards better rankings. Also make sure that you dont have any English content on the website and the sitemap is generated and submitted.
