Does Mutual Linking has any value?

We often link to our friends blogs or similar types of blogs in our blogroll and our friends will do the same. i have recently read that mutual linking has no value? is it true?

Yeah. I have also experiencing the same. Mutual links are showing in webmasters tools but google search of link: isn’t showing those links anymore after I have linked back to link giver site.

It depends on the website with which you are doing the blogging. Linking will always help if you get link from high ranked website and from websites related to your theme.

It is good for you only if the site you are linking with has higher traffic than yours. Since you are sharing links with those who have similar content to you there is a very big chance that you loose even your own visitor if they found good content than your website. So be carefull at which place and position you are placing the link

Yah it is termed as two way Exchange of links. Backlink has value if you found informative information available in that site. If you add that site link,it means that the site you are referring has something vauable. It is one way linking.It is useful. If both will exchange links then it for only traffic. This will have less priority by google.
