How to speed up WinXP shutdown process?

Some times when I go for shutdown my laptop it will it will go for sutdown but the sutdown screen will appear and altemly this screen will stand by because of I do force shutdown please advice me how can I solve the said problem

just click start -> run-> type\”shutdown-f\”
that it, simple
shutdown -f

Go to run type MSCONFIG . select BOOT tab there u can see 30 second make it to 5 second . Remember its permanent settings
