I’m working on a laptop that is running Windows 95
Error msgs: 161 & 163
I was told it was a cmos battery problem.
I want a 2nd opinion.
The only thing that will come up is the clock & date. I can set both of these and they won’t change. They stay the same even after rebooting the machine.
I cannot get to windows. I need to save a file. But how can I if I can’t get to DOS or Windows???

would not do anything with F8 or F10.
Also another error msg: 07 301
What do these error msg’s mean??

Here is the procedure for Changing CMOS Battery which seems to be the major problem.
Restart your computer and try to click F8 & F10 and look into the settings if that can solve your problem.
