If you run a Internet Center or a commercial service and run bsnl home connection then it wont be legal and they would fine you 50000Rs, hence its recommended that you should check out Airtel or Tata Wimax which comes excellent and at some 512 kbps for 1100Rs/month.

Home Plan or Business Plans all would have the same speed originally and if you are ok with the costs then you can go for the home plans from bsnl.

If you share the 512kbps connection to 8 computers the average speed each one of them would get would be somewhere around 5-6kbps at the end when they try to download a file which would be really slow. Preferably you should check out for 1-2mbps connection speeds.

If you give each computer a different connection of 512kbps then the speed would be best but the cost would be very high. So sharing is not recommended at this small package.

May be you need to ask bsnl again, if they are going to offer you 256bps speed for individual pc’s then its great, but as far as i know they wont be offering you this and its mostly the same speed in both the cases. Only since you are going to use the connection for commercial purpose bsnl charges more.

As previously mentioned, if the speeds in both the same packages are same, then 256kbps would be good enough for each PC, but if you share the same connection then the net would be very slow in accessing. You need to first decide if you are planning to share the same connection or else if you are planning to use single connection for all?

Basically if you are using 256kbps then you will get 25-30kbps speed only and even if you go for the latest version or paid version the speed wont be doubled for sure.
