Hi Amit,
Want to ask you that, now a days we have bluetooth 3.0 as a standard coming and Samsung Galaxy S has got it.
But my laptop has got bluetooth 2.1 only. So is it possible to upgrade my laptop with Bluetooth 3.0? by changing its firmware?
Or its a major hardware change to convert to Bluetooth 3.0?

Hi Chetan, I know that, if there is a difference in versions, i will be able to access the data.
But may be same fast speed can not be achieved. so thought of making both versions as 3.0 and try. So is there any way that i can make my laptop bluetooth to upgrade to 3.0?

You are right in terms of the Data Transfer speeds of Bluetooth 3.0 which is actually 8 times higher than 2.0. You cannot directly upgrade it and need to wait for the release of newer version of devices.

There is no necessity to have the same bluetooth version in both the sharing devices. Your laptop has 2.1 which is enough, and it can exchange files with your device with 3.0 firmware.
