Dear Amit, Greetings for the day!!
Have been followig your blogs, Must say very imformative and interesting. Thanks for your updates and inputs.
I had a question you being a Master in Technology, thought you can resolve it. My Ipod was in sync with my PC and the hard disk crashed and had to be reformatted. I was not able to save any data. Now if I were to download and install a new I Tunes Libary, and if i sync the Ipod it will erase all the data on the IPOD. I have already lost it from my PC and now the some data is left on my Ipod cant lose this also

Is there a way a way to save the information fromt the Ipod to my PC ?

Hi Aarti, here is what i once tried and it helped with copying of songs from my iPod to the windows computer.

You can copy all the songs normally to any folder in your computer, or if you want them back only into your iTunes library, then you can rip it in that way too.
That tool had helped a lot in copying and backing up of my iPod, and also the iPhone.

And this is a pretty easy way, as shared by guys at LifeHacker but a bit modified -
Connect the iPod to your PC. Don’t let the Syncing to happen when its connected. Stop it and close your iTunes.
Go to > Control Panel > Portable Media Devices > double-click your iPod.
In the Tools menu -> Options, in the View Tab, check “Show hidden files and folders.”
Navigate to the Music folder. On my 2nd gen ‘pod, the full path is
Portable Media Devices\YOUR IPOD NAME (F:)\iPod_Control\Music
Select all the music folders, and drag and drop them into a folder on your hard drive, or directly into iTunes.
