Google ads inside the post?

I saw many blogger started to add google ads inside the post. Is this in the TOS of google. I still fee unsafe doing so. Why you don’t use those inside the post?

Generally we dont find good CTR when the ads are placement within the content and this is the reason i dont use it. Also the visitors feel disturbed when the ads are placed in the middle. Better use them above or below the content.
