How to solve pen drive is write protected error?

There must be a write protect tab anywhere in the pendrive to lock writing. It’s same as write protect tab in SD card. Slide the lock to unlock position and your problem is solved.

there must be small button for protecting writing.just switch the button and the drive may get unlocked.

You can try both options suggested but the first option
will work in most cases if the second option suggested
above is not possible.

-run “regedit” command
-find “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/Control/StorageDevicePolicies/
-Double click at “Write Protect”
-Change the value to “0″(with out quotes)
